The purpose of the main content of the article is to build the reader’s interest so much that he’ll want more. Then to write an interesting resource box that will cause your reader to be motivated to click on your website link to read more about what you have to say and your offers of possible products.

To write the main body of an article can seem rather daunting. But it is not as difficult as it seems. The article should merely be outlining your thoughts in a sequential pattern so that each point flows into the next. By doing this you can easily create a well written article.

We live in what is called “the information age.” To stay at the top people need access to high quality information. Research your content to ensure that you are writing about what your reader wants to learn. By doing this you can build a readership base of readers who regularly want to read your articles and by doing so you can begin to make money as well.

The best way to start writing the main content of your article is to create an outline. For example, here is an outline for an article about RSS feeds.

1. Title
2. Introduction-what are RSS feeds?
3. The benefits of using RSS
4. How to get RSS feeds
5. The tools needed for reading and creating RSS feeds
6. How to promote your site with RSS
7. Conclusion-summarizing the benefits with the call to action

By creating an outline you are able to let one thought flow naturally into the other. Your thoughts follow a natural progressive order. By doing this you help your readers understand the article better. To create more value for the reader, include links in the article to additional information or resources.

The benefit of a well written article is that the reader desires to read more articles by the same author. Article directories include in the resource box the link of the author and so the reader will easily find other articles written by you.

When you’ve completed your article, the next step is to create a desire in the reader to either visit your website or buy a product related to the article content. This is your opportunity to get the reader to take action. Hopefully your article has created interest and a hunger to get more information. The resource box is your opportunity to build on their expectations. It is a good idea to look at other authors and see how they have created their resource box. Notice the really good ones that create a desire in you to click on the link to find more. Use these ideas and copy their style of writing however, do not copy them word for word. It is very effective in terms of building strong links for the search engines to anchor text.

Anchor text is using keywords and hypher linking them back to your website. Use of anchor text is a powerful strategy to reinforce the authority of your site in terms of search engine rankings. It is the best strategy for your links in the resource box to be anchor text. There should be no more than three links in the resource box
