Using quality articles in marketing your website will increase the effectiveness of your marketing campaign.

Here are some benefits of using quality articles:

- Increases the credibility of the author as an expert in their niche
- Increases traffic to the website from readers looking for more quality information
- Increases the viral distribution of the article
- Attracts more attention from the search engines

Tips to improve the quality of an article:

For your article to be an effective marketing tool, make sure that you write your article based around a key word phrase that is not extremely popular. Popular keywords have millions of people fighting for the search engines high ranking for that phrase. This limits the chance that your article will be well ranked and noticed. To be more successful research keywords and use keyword phrases that do not have as much competition.

Don’t forget to check your spelling and grammar. Articles should not be submitted until you have checked them several times for spelling errors and sentences with incorrect grammar.

Choose an attention grabbing headline for your article. Keep the heading short and include your primary keyword phrase in it. Make sure the title will persuade the reader to stop and read the rest of the article.

Spend extra time on the opening paragraph of the article. The first paragraph should make the reader want to read the rest of the article. In the first paragraph explain how the article will benifit the reader and continue to keep their attention until the end.

Decide on the style of your article. Do not make the article long and keep the paragraphs short with plenty of white space so that the text looks inviting to read. The use of bullet points or lists in an article can be very effective. Ideally keep the article between 500 and 700 words.

The resource box is also important to focus on. The resource box is the part of the article where you want to encourage the reader to click on your link to find more information or a free offer. For each article have several resource boxes and vary the use with the articles that you submit to the directory. Link to your website by hyper linking a keyword or keyword phrase. Not only link to your index page but also link to other pages on your website. Remember the resource box needs to be the call to action of the article. Use it to get the reader to visit your site or sign up for your newsletter or a free offer.
